Mavs Fans Give Seats To Soldiers

DALLAS (AP) - Some basketball fans in Dallas are giving up their
seats. About 140 soldiers wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan will get to
sit courtside at tomorrow's Dallas Mavericks game, thanks to season
ticket holders who want to show their gratitude.

The soldiers will be treated to free food and drinks, and have
their pictures taken with players, dancers and team officials.

One season-ticket holder says he began offering seats to soldiers last season. This year, he approached others and got 133 tickets worth about $150,000 -- all in the front row.

The soldiers are being flown to the game on a chartered jet from
a medical center near San Antonio.
