12-21-04 - A Naval pilot from Sadler, Texas has been honored as the F-18 Pilot of the Year. Lieutenant Larry Smith graduated from S&S High School in 1995.
Since then he got the highest scores on his training exams and went on to fly missions off an aircraft carrier in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. He also provided air support for troops on the ground.
Lt Smith was chosen among 200 F-18 pilots stationed on the east coast.
