11-9-04 – Pottsboro police are looking for brazen burglars, who broke into the police station in broad daylight. Authorities say between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. Monday someone broke through the back door and stole thousands of dollars in cash and illegal drugs from the evidence room.

City officials say they are looking for ways to make the building more secure. They say they can not afford a larger police force or a new building. However, they are looking into keeping a dispatcher in the building at all times.

Police have questioned a few suspects, but no arrests have been made.

If convicted, the burglars would be charged with a felony.
