SHERMAN, Tex. - One organization is asking the public to remember senior citizens this Christmas. ‘Home Instead Senior Care’ hosts the "Be a Santa to a Senior" program. This year's goal is to help 50 senior citizens.
Organizers say most seniors want toiletries, slippers, or similar presents. You can stop by Landmark Bank in Sherman and pick up an ornament with a seniors name and their wish list.
"I just love seeing their faces light up when we bring them gifts, it's such a fun program to be a part of, to be Santa clause and provides gifts to seniors that really need, uh, these gifts," says Tim Dungan, owner of Home Instead Senior Care.
The unwrapped presents can be returned to Landmark Bank or to the Sherman chamber of commerce by December 10th.
