Two upper level waves will interact with a warm and very moist air mass to generate thunderstorms through Saturday. Lightning and torrential rainfall that could cause flash flooding are the primary threats...with a secondary threat of damaging winds. Turn around, don't drown!
MARIETTA, Okla. -- The Make-A-Wish Foundation once again is putting smiles on the faces of some deserving kids. Fifteen-year-old Sharee Hammond and seven-year-old Max Dubree are both going to Disney World.
Dollar Tree Distribution Center in Marietta donated over $9,000 this past year to the Make-A-Wish Foundation to make the Disney World dream come true for the two kids.
"We’re here to bring hope strength and joy not only to that child, but to get them through the treatment and give them something to look forward to, but also to give the family a break from the monotony. It gives them a break from the hospitals,” Make-A-Wish director Kandy Parsons says.
This past year, Dollar Tree has donated over $70,000 statewide to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
