1-10-05 - A student project could end up saving lives in Ardmore. A mentor class at Plainview High School set out to have a traffic light installed at the intersection of Broadway and Sunset – the site of a dozen accidents in the last year.
Their efforts have paid off – the Oklahoma Department of Transportation will conduct three separate studies at the intersection to determine if a stoplight is needed.
The students took their case to the city commission, who then passed it along to the state.
D-dot says it could be 2 to 3 years before a decision is made.
