2-4-05 - PILOT POINT, Texas (AP) Denton County sheriff's officials say a former Pilot Point police officer is jailed on charges of indecency with a child.
Twenty-nine-year-old Brady Randall Hale of Aubrey is the third officer arrested in an investigation by the Texas Rangers and sheriff's department. He's accused of having a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old girl while he was a Pilot Point officer.
A sheriff's department spokesman says Hale resigned yesterday as a police officer in the Dallas suburb of Seagoville. Two other officers were arrested last week on the same charges.
Authorities allege one of them also had sexual contact with the 16-year-old and that the other knew about it, didn't report it and allowed it to occur in his home.
The teen says she met Hale when he stopped her for speeding and issued her a warning ticket. She says she had sex with him twice between August and September.
