FOP Loses Raise Vote in Hugo

2-8-05 - Hugo police officers lost their fight for a pay raise. In a city-wide vote, 55% said no to a 6% raise.

The city had rejected the request last year, but an arbitrator ruled the Fraternal Order of Police did have the right to take the issue to a vote of the people. 484 people turned out to vote – the issue lost by 48 votes.
