02-18-05 – An Ardmore medical clinic fell victim to a fast growing crime in Texoma. Criminals are turning to business records to take identities and money.
It was first noticed when a physicians assistant received a call from Southwestern Bell trying to collect on a phone bill set up in her name, but out of Dallas.
Other employees also discovered credit cards or phone lines set up in their name.
The clinic and police are not sure how it happened, but the clinic says their payroll system is set up in Dallas and that someone working with it could be the thief.
