Teens Injured in Accident

12-19-04- Two Grayson County teenagers were injured Sunday when the driver lost control of her car and slammed into a tree on Hudgins Road. Troopers investigating the accident say speed was likely the cause.

The accident happened on Hudgins Road, just south of Highway 82 around 4 p.m. Sunday. Troopers believe the 16 year old driver was probably driving too fast down a hill on the narrow, winding road. But both the driver and the passenger told investigators they were run off the road by another vehicle.

The female driver and her 16 year old male passenger were both taken by ambulance to Wilson n. Jones Medical Center. Emergency crews say the driver could have a broken leg. The passenger had only minor injuries.
