12-19-04- A 4 year old child was taken by her mother's ex-boyfriend while she was playing outside her aunt's Gainesville home Sunday evening. Just 30 minutes after an amber alert was issued, the little girl was found unharmed in the suspect's truck at a local restaurant.

Around 5 p.m., police say 43 year old Stacey Dale Miller pulled up to the home on Cherry Street and forcefully took the child from her aunt's arms, then left with her in his truck.

Gainesville police thought Miller was headed to Denton, but found him at a restaurant on Grand Avenue at about 5:30 p.m. They believe he stopped there to use the phone and left the little girl outside in his truck. Someone spotted the truck in the parking lot of the restaurant and recognized the description from the amber alert broadcast on the radio.

Miller is in the Cooke County Jail charged with aggrivated kidnapping.
