Thieves Target Cars in Van Alstyne

12-21-04 - Thieves burglarized 9 cars in Van Alstyne on Monday night – just the latest in a string of car break-ins during the past month.

The latest break-ins happened at the Hackberry Apartments off US highway 75. Witnesses say within 15 minutes four men broke the windows of cars and stole purses, stereos and CDs.

Police believe the break-ins are connected to several others since mid-November.

The suspects are described as Hispanic males – most of them appearing to be teenagers.
