Snowfall Causes Traffic Problems

Video will be available shortly.

12-22-04 – Snow falling across much of Texoma Wednesday is causing several minor wrecks. The City of Davis reported nine accidents within 45 minutes. Sherman police were working a handful of wrecks Wednesday morning.

Accidents are also reported in Bryan County, Atoka and Mcalester.

Several overpasses were shut down due to the accumulation of ice on the roads.

Police are urging people to stay indoors. If motorists must be on the roadway, officials are asking drivers to slow down. Most of the accidents are attributed to speed.

Meteorologists say about an inch to two inches have fallen and they are predicting an additional two inches.
