1-6-05 – A high speed chase sends a Durant man to jail Wednesday night. An Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper attempted to make a traffic stop in Silo around 9:30 p.m. The driver, however, took off. The officer clocked the Chevy at 106 mph.

The trooper pursued to vehicle for several miles until the driver stopped. The driver and passenger ran into a wooded area.

The officer caught up to the driver and after a struggle, Dennis Adams is in custody.

His passenger got away, but authorities say a warrant for that person’s arrest will be issued Thursday.
