A combination of very strong winds, falling temperatures and frozen precipitation will make Wednesday and Wednesday night dangerous for motorists. Freezing rain and sleet will change to snow before ending late Wednesday or early Thursday. Wind chills of 5 to 10 degrees...with air temperatures in the low 20s...can be expected. Roads will be icy Thursday morning but should melt during the day as skies clear and temperatures rise above freezing.
03-14-05 – After being closed for almost five years, a new owner is reviving a processing plant in Ladonia. Terrell businessman Jim Harris purchased the old Supreme Beef Plant from the city for $55,000.
He plans on turning the plant into an oil refinery and says the project will employ almost 200 people; good news for a city in need of an economic rebound.
145 jobs were lost when the plant closed back in September of 2000.
