3-27-05- For the second time in one week, Bryan County authorities are searching for inmates who escaped from the jail. Two men escaped from the auxiliary jail overnight and are still on the run overnight.
Gary Hurst and Jason Flores walked out of their jail cell at the auxilliary jail sometime after one a.m. and escaped through a tin wall on the outside of the building.
Authorities say Flores was being held on outstanding warrants for failure to appear and possession of a controlled substance. Hurst was awaiting trial on rape charges. Investigators say both men are considered dangerous. Both have family in the southern Oklahoma area and could still be nearby.
The escapes come less than one week after another inmate jumped from the roof of the main Bryan County jail building. That inmate was taken into custody by a Grayson County deputy late last week.
If you have any information on the whereabouts of the escapees, call Bryan County authorities.
