4-8-05 - COALGATE, Okla. (AP) Coal County Sheriff Roy Deck is putting himself on administrative leave while he's investigated for sexual harassment of an 18-year-old dispatcher.
A dispatcher says, in a complaint, that Deck kissed her and asked her to have a sexual relationship with him.
Coal County commissioners and an independent investigator from Bryan County are investigating the allegations and a report is expected by Monday.
The sheriff says he has been asked by other officials to resign, but says he sees no reason to step down. Deck was first elected sheriff in April 2000 and was re-elected last year.
