Death Penalty Sought in Killing

4-22-05 - WEWOKA, Okla. (AP) - Seminole County prosecutors have filed paperwork to seek the death penalty for a man charged in the murder of a well-known Konawa man.

Sonny Collinsworth is charged with first-degree murder in the August 19th shooting death of Silas Price junior at Price's home.

Price was on a break from his job as a butcher and had gone home to take a nap when he was killed.

Investigators say Price's credit card was used three hours after his death to buy more than $850 in merchandise at a store in Ada and surveillance tapes show Collinsworth using the card.

Authorities say Collinsworth's stepfather was Price's foster son.
