Denison man arrested in shooting

DENISON, TX - Police arrested a man after shots rang out last night in Denison.

Shortly before midnight, Denison police responded to a residence on Vaughn Drive. According to police, they arrested Denison resident, 52-year-old Christopher Alan Luper, for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. He allegedly shot his ex-girlfriend. She was transported by air ambulance to a Dallas area hospital. Injuries are unknown at this time.

Luper is at the Grayson County Jail waiting to be arraigned. Police say they are still investigating.
