ARDMORE, OK--One Texoma animal shelter is concerned after 38 animals were dropped off in just the first two hours they were open Monday.
The Ardmore Animal shelter said they have received more than 500 animals just this month alone. Shelter employees said the economy could be forcing people to abandon their pets but it is also important for the community to take responsibility and spay and neuter their animals.
A low cost spay and neuter clinic is available at the shelter for more information visit http://www.ardmoreanimalshelter.org/
