Two upper level waves will interact with a warm and very moist air mass to generate thunderstorms through Saturday. Lightning and torrential rainfall that could cause flash flooding are the primary threats...with a secondary threat of damaging winds. Turn around, don't drown!
A hike with friends last night ends in a tragic fall at the Chickasaw National Recreation Area.
23-year-old William Autry was hiking on the Bromide Trail System with three other friends when they became separated around 9:30.
The park ranger was notified around 11:45 and sent out a search.
Sometime after 1 a.m. this morning, Autry was found in a very shallow creek. He had taken an 80 foot fall from the cliff. He was only an eighth of a mile from where he had last been seen with his friends.
