More jobs heading to Denison

DENISON, TX -- A long-time Denison company announced today it will bring new jobs to the city.

Spec-Air, an air conditioning manufacturer in New Mexico, will be re-locating it's operation to Champion Cooler in Denison, making room for 30 new jobs in September.

Champion Cooler has been in Denison since 1954. Currently, it employs about 134 full-time employees and 70 seasonal employees.
Denison Mayor, Jared Johnson says the new jobs are important for the community.

"Well, anytime we can create jobs it's a fantastic thing for Denison. This is 30 jobs. They're technical jobs. They're going to be a little higher wage jobs," said Denison Mayor Jared Johnson.
