6-13-05 - A Texas woman became the 2nd drowning victim at Turner Falls this season when she fell into deep water on Sunday.
The 24-year-old woman was among 5 people walking along a rock ledge underneath the falls when the group slipped and fell into water over their heads. Lifeguard saved 4 of the victims, but the woman didn't know how to swim, and drowned.
The victim, who's name has not been released, was visiting Davis with a group of friends and family.
Divers checked for undercurrents that may have pulled the woman under, but found nothing out of the ordinary.
A man drowned at the falls on May 23rd in similar conditions.
