Friday's storms will have the potential to generate hail in the morning, and hail plus wind and tornadoes later in the day. Flash flooding is also possible with torrential rain in spots. Much improved weather moves in for the weekend. Remember, never drive through floodwater - turn around, don't drown!
8-6-05 - A Russian navy spokesman says a mini-submarine that had been trapped for nearly three days under the Pacific Ocean has surfaced. The A-S-28 made an emergency surfacing and appeared on the water Sunday morning.
Naval workers are in the process of bringing the mini-sub alongside a ship and are preparing to open the vessel.
The condition of the vessel's seven-member crew is not yet known, though naval officials had been in regular contact with the crew, which was facing dwindling oxygen and chilly temperatures.
