8-7-05 - The OSBI is assisting the Choctaw County Sheriff's office in a possible homicide investigation in Rufe, Oklahoma. A man shot and killed another man, claiming the victim was armed and threatening his family.
Deputies got the call around 9:00 p.m. Saturday night. A man told investigators the victim came onto his property in rural Choctaw County and began threatening his wife and two children. He told investigators he did not know the victim, but believed he has a gun in his car.
Choctaw County sheriff Lewis Collins says his office, along with the OSBI, is investigating the death as a possible homicide. No names have been released. The victim is a white man in his early twenties.
