8-9-05 - Texas Rangers have arrested a man they believe is responsible for killing an Arlington woman and setting fire to her body in Cooke County.
Lester Winningham Jr, 51, of Arlington was arrested Tuesday afternoon. Authorities say he worked in the same building as the victim, Deborah Houchin, and they believe they had a relationship and were engaged to be married.
The burned body of marriage and family counselor Deborah Houchin was found July 22nd outside a mechanic's shop in Muenster.
Winningham's car was searched Tuesday and an arrest warrant was issued shortly afterwards. Authorities won't way exactly what they found in his car.
Winningham is now in the Tarrant County Jail.
Texas Rangers Sergeant Tracy Murphree says Winningham was arrested as he arrived at his Arlington apartment.
Investigators believe Houchin was shot while inside her Arlington home.
Houchin's co-workers were able to help identify her after pictures of jewelry found on the body were shown on TV.
