16-year-old Desiree Snyder was thrown from the car and died shortly after the accident. The Arkansas State Police say the car failed to negotiate a turn on highway 70 in De Queen, Arkansas. It’s not clear from police reports which teenager was driving the vehicle.
Two other teens were thrown from the car, including 16-year-old Heather Ross of Mead, Oklahoma. She is in critical condition. 17-year-old Terrence Burris and 16-year-old Anthony Lindsey of Broken Bow were both passengers. No word on the extent of their injuries.
The State Police say none of the teens were wearing their seatbelts, and the car appeared to be speeding.
Both girls were juniors at Calera High School.
