Denison House Fire Under Investigation

8-16-05 – Neighbors awoke with a start this morning to a house fire in Denison. What they say sounded like gunshots, followed by sparks and flames came shooting through the roof of the home at 814 Glenn Key Road.

Around 4:15 this morning the Denison Fire Department responded to the call. They quickly contained a fire that started in the garage of the home. It took about 30 minutes to control the fire before it could spread to neighboring homes.

An elderly couple was at home at the time of the fire, but they made it out safely. The Denison Fire Marshall will be on scene today to investigate the cause. At this time, fire fighters are calling it an accident.
