7-12-05 - Dozens of law enforcement officers gathered to remember one of Murray County's bravest deputies on Tuesday morning.
Many area departments took turns saying to goodbye to Czar, a drug dog for the Murray County Sheriff, at a memorial service. He died suddenly of cancer on Friday.
The K-9 memorial service is the first of it's kind in the southern Oklahoma area and a tradition the sheriff's department wants to start. They're looking at reserving spots at a cemetery so other area drug dogs can have a proper officer burial in the future.
Czar was part of the sheriff's department for eight years. He was buried Saturday on private land out in the county.
