7-14-05 - WYLIE, Texas (AP) A broken water main is now fixed at a Dallas-area treatment plant.
But officials are still asking water users in 15 Collin and Denton county cities to be stingy with their water use until the water tanks can refill.
The eight-foot water main at the North Texas Municipal Water District plant in Wylie broke yesterday. That left hundreds of thousands of people short of water -- or completely out.
A major pipeline failure at the North Texas Municipal Water District’s Treatment Plant early Wednesday morning affected Anna, Melissa, Allen, Frisco, McKinney, Plano, Princeton, Parker, the Colony, Prosper, and parts of Wylie.
For more information, call the water district at (972) 442-5405.
