7-14-05 - The teenager police suspect of shooting another man during an argument in Sherman on Wednesday is still at large. Witnesses say Michael Kimmel killed 18-year-old Gerry Wayne White with a shotgun. It happeed just after 5pm outside the Brooks Manor apartments on Pecan Street.
Texas Rangers recovered the car Kimmel left in at a Fort Worth location. They're also interviewing two other people who may be witnessess to the crime.
The shooting began earlier with an argument between White and another man who lived at the apartments. White was a former tenant. The argument turned into a physical fight. At that point, friends of the other man came to his defense. That's when police say Kimmel went back to his apartment, retrieved the shotgun, and shot White once in the chest.
