7-23-05 - Two men arrested Friday have admitted involvement in the recent vandalism of a Princeton family's home. The men were originally picked up on other charges. They deny the vandalism was racially motivated.
The Valtierra family's home was ransacked two weeks ago. Vandals slashed mattresses, splashed bleach and smashed televisions. They also drew a swastica and an ethnic slur on a bedroom wall.
Though they deny their actions were motivated by the family's ethnicity, Collin County authorities say the investigation continues and they have not ruled out the possibility of a hate crime.
Neither of the suspect's names have been released.
