9-26-05 - A bomb threat called in to the Honey Grove Nursing Center Saturday night forced the evacuation of nearly 100 residents and staff. Local officials moved them to the high school gymnasium while they made a sweep of the building.
No bomb was found, but authorities say they are taking the crime seriously. They believe the call was just a prank, but the person who made the call could face charges.
Officials with the Honey Grove Nursing Center say the evacuation went smoothly and they will pursue charges against the person who made the call.
The Honey Grove police department is investigating. The have leads, but so far, no arrests.
All of th elderly resident of the nursing home were back in their rooms by midnight Saturday night, nearly five hours after the threat was called in.
