ADA, Okla. (AP) - The first-degree murder trial of a man charged in the death of an East Central University football player begins with jury selection Tuesday in Pontotoc County District Court in Ada.
Ammon Reich is accused of using his pickup truck to ram the rear
of another pickup carrying eleven people.
18-year-old Joseph Tusan was thrown from the bed of the truck and killed. Several other students were injured including one who is now paralyzed.
Investigators have said the incident came after a racially charged confrontation between a group of students from East Central and a group that included Reich.
