9-28-05 - A woman fell to her death while hiking at Turner Falls Park in Davis on Tuesday. It happened in the late afternoon near the Bridal Veil Cove. The 63-year-old Kansas woman was looking over to see the water when she slipped and fell 60-feet.
She was conscious when emergency crews arrived but died later of internal injures at OU Medical Center.
This is the third death this year at the park this year - two others drowned during the summer. The park now plans to keep the falls area closed off indefinitely. They will also put up more warning signs near those cliffs.
