11-5-05 - HOUSTON (AP) A small jet crashed at Hobby Airport today, killing both individuals on board.
The Cessna Citation 500 was preparing to leave the airport at this morning when its pilot was told to quickly take off because a Southwest Airlines 737 plane with some sort of problem was coming in.
Officials say the Southwest plane ended up being diverted to the city's other major airport, Bush Intercontinental, where it landed safely.
But the Citation apparently began experiencing some sort of problem and asked if it could return to Hobby.
Officials don't know what type of problem the small plane had that forced its return.
The names of the victims or where they were headed wasn't immediately known.
The airport was shut down for about an hour before it resumed operating.
