SMITHVILLE, Okla. (AP) - A manhunt in the Smithville area in southeast Oklahoma for a man wanted by U.S. Marshals for probation violation has ended with the man's arrest in southwest Arkansas.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Betsy Randolph says Keith Miller was arrested Wednesday morning after robbing a man in southwest Arkansas.
A manhunt for Miller began Monday after he crashed a car near Smithville schools and ran from the scene while being chased by Polk County, Ark., deputies.
Classes were postponed and the school used as a command post.
School Superintendent Delbert McBroom says classes will resume Thursday.
McBroom says authorities told him Miller admitted hiding by climbing a tree and escaped during the night and broke into a church where he found food and a toy gun he used to rob a lumber store worker in Hatfield, Ark.
He stole a truck from the store and was caught driving it near Cove, Ark.
