And motorcycles hate you, too. You're prolly one of the idiots who assume you have the right of way cause you're in a "cage", and bigger than we are. We all need to look out for one another. This poor man was probably just enjoying his ride when he had the accident. Don't blame the motorcyclist. Very sad, so sorry for his family and friends.

This is my Uncle you are talking about just remember that he was loved and was a family member. It could have been your family so dont be so crass people. Do Americans no longer have a heart??

You mean he could't see the back of an 18 teen wheeler! It's 13' 6" tall and 110" wide. I could see why he missed it!!!

From what I hear from others that knew him, he tried to lay the bike over & slide so don't be so judgemental in assuming that he wasn't paying attention. He did everything he could do.

R.I.P. Span. Such a tragic accident took a great guy. Our prayers are with the family. Don't ever assume that since you've been riding forever that everything's o.k., I did & am lucky to be alive myself.

you hate motorcycles?? LOL what a DIM view..I suppose if the driver had been in a car, you'd hate cars? sheesh.. This could happen to anyone, in any type of vehicle..

I hate to read about motorcycle accidents with injury or death attached to the article. Most drivers don't even see or pay attention to them at all. I count every motorcycle I see everyday when I'm driving. Hope everyone else will do it too. It probably wouldn't have prevented this tragedy, but people need to watch out for the 2 wheeled vehicles PLEASE!

It's not the Motorcycles fault I have riden 10's of thousands of miles. It said he hit the back of the truck, at some point we have to pay attion to the road that goes for every one on the road. It is sad but dont blame motorcycles.

My husband helped direct traffic for this accident and it was a very sad story. I was there and saw all. No idea who it was though
