CARTER COUNTY, Okla. -- Imtec Corporation in Ardmore is being bought out by worldwide corporate giant, 3M.

The companies have announced that a definitive agreement is now in writing, and that the acquisition should be a done deal by the end of the year, with an expected closing date sometime during the third quarter of 2008.

Imtec is a local company which manufactures dental implants as well as dental imaging equipment.

Company officials are so far declining to release details of that merger.
