SHERMAN, Tex. - The man who held Sherman Police at bay with a pipe bomb last fall was in court today.

Richard Hunn, 34, of Sherman was found guilty in U.S. Federal court for his role in the October 9th standoff.

Sherman police say Hunn led officers on a short chase, crashed his car, and then started a 5 1/2 hour standoff showing them what was later found to be a pipe bomb.

Sherman's special response team took Hunn down using gas and beanbag rounds.

Hunn should be sentenced within the next few weeks.

He put my child in danger...hang him! He obviously does not have the mental capacity or compassion to understand that he could harm or kill others with his idiotic stunts. There is no place for him in "normal" people's lives.
