VAN ALSTYNE, Tex. -- Some teachers in Van Alstyne are moonlighting at McDonald's.

The staff from Van Alstyne Elementary held their annual "McStaff Night" Thursday.

Once a month, McDonald's donates 15% of their proceeds to the school, but only one night a year do principals wait tables, and kindergarten teachers serve the drive-thru.

Fifteen percent of the money raised from their four hour shift goes to the PTA, and Principal Terry Billups says they usually make pretty good money.

"This is our "McStaff Night". We do McDonald's night every month but this is the night the staff comes out and works at McDonald's. We just have a blast," Billups said.

Each month, they raise $300 to $500 dollars.
