10-30-05 – After more than three decades in business, a Bonham clothing store announces it will close its doors in December. Jelly Ford’s Ladies apparel has been a staple in Bonham for years, but owner Margaret Ford says it’s time to retire.
Margaret and her husband, Jelly, opened the shop with just $90 and children’s diaper sets. Later, they branched out into women’s clothing. Now, customers drive from as far as Dallas and Gainesville to shop for the 1950s style apparel.
For long-time customers, the news is disappointing. Jelly’s last day of business will be December 24th.
