Roads will remain treacherous from snow and sleet until mid-day, when sunshine should melt most of it away. Snow is likely to remain on the ground until Friday.
11-4-05 - An inexperienced driver on an abandoned road ran into a creek on Thursday afternoon, at the previous site of a bridge.
It happened 2.2 miles west of Hugo on an abandoned roadway off of US 70 in Choctaw County.
A 1995 Nissan pickup driven by Christopher Whitley, 16, was eastbound when he drove into the creek.
He was transported to Choctaw Memorial Hospital with head and leg injuries and is listed in fair condition.
A passenger, David Cahill, 14, suffered head and arm injuries and is listed in fair condition.
