2 killed, 1 hurt in Marshall County collision

OAKLAND, Okla. (AP) - Authorities say two people were killed and another critically injured when their SUV collided with a semitrailer in Marshall County.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the crash happened Tuesday afternoon on U.S. 70 about 2.5 miles west of Oakland. Authorities say 44-year-old Kenneth Joe Richardson of Oklahoma City was driving a Cadillac Escalade when his vehicle crossed the center line for unknown reasons. Authorities say the driver of an oncoming semitrailer tried to drive onto the shoulder to avoid a collision but struck the Escalade on the driver's side.

Killed in the crash were Richardson and a passenger, 43-year-old Misty Lynn Fisher of Oklahoma City. Another passenger, 18-year-old Tommy Ward, was taken to OU Medical Center in critical condition.

Authorities say the truck's driver wasn't injured.
