COOKE COUNTY, TX -- Law enforcement and social services are high priority items that will see an increase in funding in Cooke County.

County Commissioners have passed a $20 million budget for next year on a 3 to 2 vote.

County Judge John Roane says in the interest of public safety the Sheriff's department budget of $3.2 million got an $800,000 boost for items like new vehicles, a court house security officer and new personnel.
