12-12-05 - The search is over for a disabled Paris man after he was found in a heavily wooded area off of Loop 289 in Paris. It appears he may have been there for days.
Brandon Thomas Echols was last seen around 1 p.m. Monday December 5th in Bonham. The disabled 34-year-old man uses a red electric scooter that has an orange flag and a slow moving emblem on the back. Echols can walk for a short distance but mainly requires the scooter to get around.
It's still not clear how Echols ended up in the wooded area, but police say he was exposed to subfreezing temperatures and has since been taken to a Paris hospital. He is intensive care; in stable condition.
Paris police say it is unlikely the man could have made it that far into the woods. They are investigating the case as a criminal matter.
