Hot Christmas Toys in Short Supply

NEW YORK (AP) - It appears there will be a lot of disappointed
children Christmas morning. A lot of the most-hyped toys are in short supply.

Toy sellers say they're running out of many gift choices beyond the X-box 360. Other high-demand toys include the Amazing Amanda interactive doll, Dora's Talking Kitchen, the electronic animal I-Dog and the radio controlled vehicle Shell Shocker.

One father says hunting down an X-box for his son and two toys
for his goddaughter has been frustrating. The Illinois man says if
scouring the Internet and malls doesn't work he'll resort to "plan
B: gift cards."

Toy makers say they boosted production in October based on early
demand. A Hasbro spokesman says, "We're shipping every piece we
can make."
