Retailers are rolling out new products and tempting shoppers with bargains to try to juice after-Christmas sales.
The chief analyst at the market research firm NPD Group says, "Retailers have recognized that December has 31 days."

Electronics stores like Best Buy are advertising CD's, DVD's and video games to attract people who need something to play in the gadgets they got as gifts.
Many shoppers say they're most interested in the deals. One Arkansas shopper says she "wouldn't pay full price today for anything."
