Roads will remain treacherous from snow and sleet until mid-day, when sunshine shroud melt most of it away. Snow is likely to remain on the ground until Friday.
1-1-06 – The New Year got off to a deadly start in Garvin County Sunday morning. A 50-year-old Pauls Valley man was killed after his car went off a county road and hit a bridge pier.
It happened around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday – just two miles northwest of Pauls Valley.
William Kimberlin was pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers say speed factored into the cause of the accident. Oklahoma Highway Patrol also reports that Kimberlin was not wearing a seatbelt.
