Flash Flood Watches are posted through Monday morning for all of Texoma. The most concentrated rainfall is expected Saturday night into Sunday. Please be alert to floodwaters, washed out roads and rising creeks.
1-5-05 Two Denison High School students were hit by a 63-year old driver early Thursday morning as they were crossing Spur 503. The accident happened in the 3200 block of Eisenhower Parkway around 6:30 when 15-year old Jeremy Still and 16-year old Eddie Cheshier tried to cross the road while it was still dark out.
Chesier was transported to Texoma Medical Center, but Still was transported by helicopter to Methodist Hospital in Dallas to be treated for two broken legs and an eye injury. Still is in critical condition at Methodist and Cheshier remains in stable condition at TMC with a broken leg.
School officials found out about the accident later this morning and say its very unlikely that the two boys were on their way to school at that time of day, but still worry anytime an accident involves any of their students.
Police say the driver was not speeding, or driving under in influence, and do not expect charges to be filed.
